인생 재활용(Life recycling)

쓰레기는 분리수거 되어 버려진다.
처리하기도 수월할 뿐만 아니라
재활용품으로도 이용할 수 있기 때문이다.
자원마다 활용되는 기간이 있다.
경제도 일정한 패턴이 있다.
이 기간을 사이클(cycle)이라고 한다.

한 사이클이 지나면
폐기처분되는 물품도 있지만,
폐지나 폐타이어 등은
재생용지나 재생타이어로 활용된다.
다시 쓸 수 있는 것이다.
이를 리사이클링(recycling)이라고 부른다.

사람 역시 한때 쓰고 버림받을 운명이 결코 아니다.
일정 연령이 차면 은퇴해야 하지만,
고귀하게 제2, 제3의 삶으로 재활용될 수 있다.
'은퇴하다'의 영어 표기는 '리타이어(retire)'다.
닳아버린 바퀴를 새 바퀴로 바꿔달듯이
새로 거듭날 수 있다는 의미와 상통한다.

리사이클링을 잘하면 자연환경이 맑아진다.
리타이어링을 잘 활용하면 사회는 골고루 건강해진다.
