2년간의 연구 끝에 바나나 껍질에서 분해가 가능한
바이오 플라스틱을 추출하는 데 성공합니다.

네덜란드의 16세 소년 '보얀 슬랫'은
바다에서 다이빙하다가 바닷속에 쓰레기를 보았습니다.
그리고 해류를 이용한 바다 쓰레기 청소법을 발명합니다.

네팔의 18세 소년 '밀란 카르키'는
전기가 들어오지 않는 시골 마을에
머리카락전도체를 이용한 태양전지판을 발명하여
보다 싸고 깨끗한 에너지를 만들 수 있게 하였습니다.

한국의 18세 소년 '서강민'은 갈수록 심해지는
미세먼지를 줄이기 위해
자동차 미세먼지 처리배기관을 발명했습니다.

청소년들이 왜 이런 어려운 일에 도전하는 걸까요?
그 이유는, 아무도 그것에 관심을 두지 않고
또한 도전하지 않았기 때문입니다.

깨끗한 물과 공기, 풍부한 지하자원과 에너지.
이 모든 환경적인 특혜는 우리 세대만의 것이 아닙니다.
앞으로, 더 앞으로 그리고 먼 미래에
우리처럼 이 땅을 살아갈 후손들 역시도
잠시 빌려 사용하고 있는 것입니다.

환경을 위한 10대들의 놀라운 발명은
지구별에 함께 살아가는 우리로 부끄럽지 않게
지구로부터 빌린 환경을 깨끗하게 사용하고
잘 돌려주자는 교훈을 줍니다.
